Community Initiatives
At the Co-Op, we support our local community and our planet. Our Farm Hand program raised more than $37,000 last year to help support local producers and farmers grow their businesses. Our Outreach programs donate food and money to local charitable groups and events. We offer products from more than 130 local farmers and producers, and .35 cents of every dollar spent at our store goes back into our local community.
The Co-op doesn’t just support local, we are local. To us, local means next door. It means one-on-one relationships with makers, growers, and small businesses. To us, local isn’t just a movement, it’s the only way to do business. We have created a practical commerce system for our local vendors that bigger companies and corporations can’t accommodate. When making purchasing decisions we view it through the lens of sustainability, economic and environmental impact. For example, all of our Taproom and 80% of our Kitchen’s packaging can be commercially composted through FoodLoops. If you’re looking for a long-term career at an established local community hub you’ve found the right spot with us.
To apply please complete our employment application and attend a Career Fair on Mondays at 2 pm to receive an interview. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss our career opportunities.
